Martín Argañaraz

Practice Areas

Mr. Argañaraz Luque is the head of the insurance & reinsurance team and specializes in insurance, reinsurance, commercial litigation and international arbitration. He has been lately involved in insurance and reinsurance claims, regulatory issues and mergers and acquisitions of both insurance and reinsurance companies.

His work is focused on advising general and life insurance companies, reinsurers, insurance consultants, brokers and companies, both local and foreign, and foreign law offices, on these matters.

Career

He joined Allende & Brea in 2003 and became a partner in 2007. In 1999 and 2000, he worked at the London offices of Clyde & Co and of SNR Denton (formerly Wilde Sapte) on insurance and reinsurance proceedings mostly related to Latin America. In 2003 and 2004, he trained with international reinsurance disputes in English law firms such as Clyde & Co (formerly Barlow, Lyde & Gilbert) and Hogan Lovells.

Personal

He graduated from the “Universidad Católica Argentina” in 1998. He is a graduate professor of insurance law at “Universidad Católica Argentina”, and a post-graduate professor at “Universidad del Salvador” (2008), “Universidad Caece” (2009 and 2010), “Universidad Católica Argentina” and “Universidad de San Andrés”.
