Mariana Pereira is the Founder and Managing Partner of Orienta Legal and one of the most established corporate/commercial and energy lawyers in Bolivia, with over 30 years of practice.
She leads the firm's Corporate/M&A, Banking and Finance, and Energy & Natural Resources practices. Her work concentrates on the transactions and structures that define a business: high-impact financings, mergers and acquisitions, multi-entity reorganisations and corporate governance for the country's largest business groups. She also leads Ncourage, the firm's private wealth practice, advising business families on cross-border structuring, succession planning and asset protection. She is regularly engaged at the structuring stage, where precedent is limited and the design of a transaction determines its outcome.
In the energy sector she advises international and domestic companies on hydrocarbons, power and infrastructure mandates, including shareholder representation in one of Bolivia's most significant gas transportation assets. She previously served as Director of the Bolivian Hydrocarbons Chamber and sits as Secretary to the Board of Directors of a multinational electricity transmission company.
