Candys Dorado is a partner at Orienta Legal and head of its Tax practice, with close to two decades of combined experience across the public and private sectors.

She spent nearly ten years in senior roles at Bolivia's National Tax Service, which gives her an insider's understanding of how audits are built, how enforcement decisions are taken, and where administrative determinations can be challenged. Her training in economics and accounting allows her to work across the tax, financial and operational dimensions of a matter rather than the legal one alone.

Her practice covers direct and indirect taxation, international tax, tax planning and compliance, audits, and administrative and judicial proceedings. She has secured the annulment of wealth tax assessments, substantial reductions in high-value audit determinations, and favourable rulings on the recovery of tax credits. She also advises on double taxation treaty matters and on the tax structuring of cross-border transactions and private wealth vehicles.
