Marc Abrams

Marc is an esteemed litigator with more than two decades of experience guiding clients through complex insurance, reinsurance and general commercial dispute matters. He is skilled at representing clients in court and before US and international arbitration panels and has successfully taken over twenty matters to trial and has resolved many more on favorable terms through dispositive motion practice or settlement. Marc has expertise recovering funds for his clients as well as defending them across a wide range of business lines and he has resolved numerous disputes between and among policyholders, insurers, reinsurers, intermediaries and other sophisticated companies.

Marc has presented and tried many of the insurance and reinsurance industry’s fundamental dispute issues including allocation, aggregation, notice, follow the fortunes, security, payment of interest, set-offs, insolvency, captives, “cut-through” provisions, claims handling practices, claims control, special acceptances, rescission, sunset clauses, and other matters of contractual interpretation. He has been admitted as pro hac vice in various US federal courts.
