With more than 20 years’ experience, Luke Barefoot consistently advises creditors and debtors and corporations on some of the most complex, high-profile matters in the market.

Luke Barefoot’s practice focuses on bankruptcy litigation, insolvency, corporate restructuring and related litigation matters, with a particular focus on cross-border and international bankruptcy disputes. Luke represents both debtors and creditors in restructuring matters, particularly contested matters where developing and executing on a litigation strategy can drive outcomes and recoveries. He is also active in the firm’s pro bono practice.

Career

Luke joined the firm in 2004 and became a partner in 2013. Clerked for the Hon. Rosemary Barkett, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. J.D., Stanford Law School, 2004 (with distinction); B.S., Cornell University, 2001 (honors).
