Luis Sarabia

Luis has a broad general litigation and arbitration practice. He has appeared as lead counsel for public and private corporations before various courts and administrative tribunals, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He has specific expertise in acting for leading mining companies in their large and complex litigation and arbitrations, both in Canada and internationally. Luis has also been lead counsel in international arbitrations, has given expert evidence in the United States, and often acts on matters involving Spanish-speaking parties, including in South and Central America and in Spain. He regularly acts as counsel in class actions, takeover bids and change of control litigation, as well as restructuring and environmental litigation. Luis also acts for various high-net-worth Canadian families and individuals in their private, high-stakes disputes. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Litigation Counsel of America, and he teaches a graduate level course in shareholder remedies at Osgoode Hall Law School.
