Chantelle is known for her superb advocacy skills and strategic judgment. She advises clients across a wide range of civil litigation matters, including complex commercial, competition and securities disputes. A significant portion of her practice involves the defence of national and cross-border class actions. Chantelle is at the forefront of the use of litigation technology, and regularly consults on best practices for electronic and virtual litigation. A frequent lecturer and author, Chantelle presents for organizations such as the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and The Advocates’ Society. Chantelle is chair of the Governance and Risk Management Committee and a member of the board of Earth Rangers. She is the Past-Chair of the OBA Civil Litigation Section Executive, part of the Ontario Superior Court’s Commercial List Users’ Committee and a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.
