Luis advises clients in the aerospace and defense, consumer electronics, and telecommunications industries. His recent representations include: VSE Corporation with the acquisition of Precision Aviation Group for $2.025 billion, the acquisition of Aero 3 for $350 million, the acquisition of Turbine Weld Industries, the divestiture of its Wheeler business, the acquisition of Kellstrom Aerospace Group, the divestiture of its Federal and Defense business and operating assets, the acquisitions of certain product lines and assets from Honeywell, and the acquisitions of Global Parts Group and HAECO Special Services; Embraer with the acquisition of EZ Air in Mexico and related assets in Brazil from SAFRAN Cabin; Sherwin-Williams with the acquisition of BASF's Brazilian architectural paints business for $1.15 billion; Bose Corporation with the acquisition of the McIntosh Group and the divestiture of certain operating assets; AGUNSA with the acquisition of infrastructure assets in Florida; TotalEnergies' Strategic Alliance & Investment Agreement with Sunix Petroleum and Tropigas in the Dominican Republic; and Hard Rock's $1 billion acquisition of The Mirage Las Vegas Hotel and Casino and acquisition of the JACK Cincinnati Casino.

He also has represented PGT with the acquisition of Eco Windows, Odpenergy and Jinko Power with the divestiture of renewable energy assets in Mexico, Hyatt with transactions in Central America and Brazil, Alantra and Magnum Private Equity with their investment in ROQ US, CIRCOR International with the sale of Pibiviesse S.p.A. in Italy, and Millicom with the sale of its cell phone tower portfolio in El Salvador, Paraguay, and Colombia.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Luis was an associate corporate counsel at HEICO Corporation, an aerospace, industrial, defense, and electronics company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
