Laura is lead counsel on a variety of high-profile matters at all levels of court in Canada, including the SCC. She is known for advising on high-profile disputes in the energy, mining, construction, hospitality, fashion and infrastructure sectors. Laura also regularly advises or acts as dispute resolution counsel regarding disputes in the private equity and investment fund sector. Laura is a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and the Construction Lawyers Society of America. She has extensive expertise in the arbitration of complex domestic and international disputes and holds leadership roles in several key industry institutions; she is co-chair of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR)'s Canada Advisory Board, co-lead of the North American Group of the Silicon Valley Arbitration & Mediation Center, a member of ICDR's Canada Advisory Committee and an ICC Canada Arbitration Committee member. She also sits on the board of CanArbWeek. She recently served on the Advocates’ Society’s BC Regional Advisory Committee and has served on the Executive of the CBA’s Civil Litigation Section.
