Julie is ranked in all leading directories as one of the top competition lawyers in Canada, and as one of the world’s top 100 Women in her field. Canadian Lawyer Magazine previously named Julie as one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers, and in 2023, she was shortlisted for Dealmaker of the Year at the Global Competition Review Awards. Clients value her concise and pragmatic approach, noting she is “very bright, experienced and makes the trickiest regulatory filings easy to understand with her practical and commercially-minded advice.”

Julie is a recognized thought leader. She has been active in the ABA’s Section of Antitrust Law for more than a decade and currently co-chairs the Foreign Investment and National Security Committee. Julie is co-founder of Canadian Women in Competition Law, a group devoted to competition law and mentoring young lawyers. Julie is co-author of the ground-breaking book: Leading the Way: Canadian Women in the Law (LexisNexis) about the inspiring journey of 50 Canadian women who, like Julie, have lead the way for women in the legal profession.
