Julie is Co-Chair of Blakes’ award winning Competition, Antitrust & Foreign Investment group. Ranked as one of Canada’s Most Influential lawyers, she is on the cutting edge of guiding businesses and investors under the Competition Act and Investment Canada Act, with an emphasis on cross-border transactions.

Julie is ranked in all leading directories as one of the top competition lawyers in Canada, and as one of the world’s top 100 Women in her field. Julie is a recognized thought leader. She has been active in the ABA’s Section of Antitrust Law for more than a decade and currently co-chairs the Foreign Investment and National Security Committee. Julie is co-author of the ground-breaking book: Leading the Way: Canadian Women in the Law (LexisNexis) about the inspiring journey of 50 Canadian women who, like Julie, have lead the way for women in the legal profession.
