Laura is a Senior Associate in the Madrid Asset Finance Group.

She specialises in financing transactions in the Transport sector with nearly 15 years of experience. She advises on structured, acquisition and export finance matters relating to in the shipping, aviation and rail sectors, with emphasis on tax lease transactions for ship financing and other financing of ships, and aircraft (airplanes and helicopters) and rolling stock.

Laura has extensive experience in shipbuilding contracts and pre-delivery financing (guarantee lines and refund guarantees) and ECA-backed financings. Additionally, she has a broad knowledge of M&A and derivatives transactions, as well as general aspects of corporate and commercial law.

Her client portfolio includes both national and foreign lessors, shipowners, airlines, banks and institutional investors.

Career

Since joining the firm in 2009, Laura has worked in the firm’s Madrid and London offices.
