Lande Spottswood

Described as “incredibly intelligent” and “impressive” by interviewees in Chambers USA (2019), Lande Spottswood is an accomplished corporate lawyer who focuses her practice on large and complex strategic transactions, often in the energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies and some of the world’s largest private capital firms. Over the course of her career, she has advised on more than $500 billion of M&A transactions, including more than 50 public company change of control transactions. Lande has served as a member of the firm’s management committee since 2022.

Lande is regularly recognized as one of the country’s leading M&A practitioners by legal trade publications, including 11 consecutive years by Chambers USA for her Corporate and M&A practice, by American Lawyer as a Dealmaker of the Year in Texas, to The Deal’s list of Top Women in Dealmaking, as one of the Leading 500 Lawyers and Leading 500 Dealmakers in the USA by LawDragon, as a Rising Star by Law360, and by IFLR 1000, Texas Lawyer, Legal 500, Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America. In addition to her client work, Lande serves as the firm’s Lead Recruiting Partner. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the NALP Foundation and a member of the Advisory Council for the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School.
