Kuljit acts for local authorities, housing associations and health bodies, as well as for private landlords and developers. She advises on the full range of local authority functions and has an excellent understanding of the pressures faced by public bodies. Having represented and advised private landlords and developers, she is also well placed to understand the needs of her private clients.
Kuljit has extensive experience of policy and governance issues. Her recent work has ranged from governance (and other) issues relating to PSPOs, the contracting out of local authority functions and the legality of Part VII Allocation Schemes, including local residence and ‘community contribution’ requirements.
Recent cases include: successful defence of the challenge to the Ealing abortion clinic safe zone PSPO: Dulgheriu v Ealing LBC,  EWCA Civ 1490.
Instructed by Richmond LBC, successful defence of its dog control PSPO: Summers v Richmond Upon Thames LBC  EWHC 782 (Admin).
She has advised the Mayor on his Housing Strategy for London and was instructed in Tachie v Welwyn Hatfield BC  EWHC 3972 (QB);  PTSR 66.
