Desmond acts primarily for local authorities; at least 6 in the last year (Lambeth, Hackney, Haringey, Hammersmith & Fulham, Southend-on-Sea, Hillingdon).

In the last year, he has been involved a broad range of cases including: anti-social behaviour and vulnerable tenants; property issues; homelessness; leaseholder issues (including service charges, e.g. see LON/00AY/LSC/2016/0041); and a challenge to the action of LB Hackney’s Environmental Health department in Richards v Investigatory Powers Tribunal [2017] EWHC 560 (QB)
