Career
Eleri has a busy practice in housing, immigration and public law, with over a decade’s experience in social welfare law in various organisations.
She is committed to representing vulnerable clients with complex needs, often representing those with severe mental health issues or trauma, including trafficking victims. She accepts instructions via the Official Solicitor. Eleri’s practice encompasses judicial review, unlawful eviction, possession, and anti-social behaviour injunctions. She has a particular interest in homelessness in the County or Administrative Court.
Her immigration work includes protection claims, deportation and human rights cases. Her mixed expertise offers particular advantages in dealing with multi-disciplinary issues where the two areas overlap. In both areas she has been instructed in cases up to the Court of Appeal. She has presented at a number of conferences including for LawFriends Society and Legal Action Group. She is on the Executive Committee of the Housing Law Practitioners Association.
A fluent Welsh speaker, Eleri has a particular interest in Welsh housing law and has authored several articles and provided consultancy and advice on that area also.
