Practice Areas

Sam specialises in Property, Trusts and Landlord & Tenant law in Five Paper's property team and is Deputy Head of Chambers.

Sam regularly appears in the High Court (QB and BPC/Chancery Div), County Court, Probate Registry and Tribunals, as well as having appeared in the Court of Appeal on residential L&T matters.

Sam’s practice has a particular emphasis on estates of land, lease disputes and rights of succession.

Before being called to the Bar, Sam worked for a London property developer and landlord. He uses this experience to provide commercial, client-focussed advice at all stages of litigation.

Recent reported cases include Westminster v Harman, LB Haringey v Simawi [2018] EWHC 290 (QB) and [2018] EWHC 2733 (QB), and Richards v ICO + 17 [2017] EWHC 560 (QB) 24
