Kevyn D Orr

Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Washington, D.C., office, Kevyn Orr provides strategic business advice, designing creative approaches to novel situations with an eye toward cost-efficient, business-oriented solutions. He has practiced in the areas of business restructuring, financial institution regulation, crisis management and commercial litigation for more than three decades, and has handled all aspects of complex, precedent-setting matters. Prior to rejoining Jones Day in 2015, Kevyn was Emergency Manager of the City of Detroit, where he oversaw the restructuring the city's finances and operations and was the principal for the largest and most complicated successful municipal bankruptcy proceeding in the nation's history.
