Kevin’s practice focuses on insurance recovery and counseling for corporate policyholders, as well as commercial litigation and dispute resolution. He represents policyholders in a wide range of insurance coverage disputes, including: long-tail environmental; toxic tort and asbestos claims; losses stemming from natural and man-made disasters under first-party and business interruption insurance; directors and officers (D&O) liability coverage; E&O claims; losses under ocean cargo marine and storage policies; Reps & Warranties claims; cyber losses; crime/theft/fidelity claims; media liability claims; public officials liability claims; construction claims; professional liability claims; and more. Kevin’s commercial litigation practice has involved all manner of disputes, in litigation and arbitration across the country, including breach of contract, class action defense, government contract disputes, various business torts, and more.
Kevin is the co-chair of the Insurance Recovery Group at Barnes & Thornburg. He is a litigator and trial lawyer, having focused his practice for more than 20 years on insurance recovery on behalf of corporate policyholders, complex commercial litigation, and claim/dispute-related counseling. He represents corporate policyholders and other commercial parties throughout the United States and abroad, having recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for policyholders. Kevin is licensed in Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan, he is a frequent lecturer, and has also authored numerous articles and publications on insurance issues.
