Keiji is the head of the firm’s TMT practice team. Keiji’s practice focuses on M&A, IP/IT-related transactions, and data security/privacy matters. He has extensive experience representing global and local clients on complex business transactions as well as regulatory matters, with a particular focus on the TMT sectors, including new business fields such as AI, web3/Crypto, Fintech, Metaverse, and MaaS. He has been active in the policy-making processes. For instance, he has served as a member of: “web3 Project Team” (Digital Society Promotion Headquarters, Liberal Democratic Party of Japan); “Research Group on Consumer Transactions in Digital Society” (Consumer Affairs Agency); and “Task Force for Creation of New Markets for Startups” (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). Keiji is recognized as: “ALB Asia Super 50 TMT Lawyer 2024” (Asian Legal Business); “Leading Individuals (TMT and Fintech)” (Legal 500 Asia Pacific); and “The Best Lawyers in Japan (Technology, Information Technology, and Fintech Practice)”.
