She advises clients on all aspects of both individual and collective labour law, and particularly focuses on international employment. She is often involved in setting-up or terminating salary split scenarios and international assignments and has advised large international companies in relation to major secondment projects to ensure compliance with local laws. Within the field of cross border employment Kato has significant experience and expertise in social security related matters and has published several articles in this respect.

She is president of the AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers), where she is regularly invited to speak as an expert on comparative employment law panels.
Kato is also an active member of the UIA (Union International des Avocats), where she is a member of the Editorial Board of the Juriste International.
