Peter De Ryck

Peter de Ryck is a partner and heads the Corporate and M&A practice of Lydian. Peter was managing partner of Lydian from 2016 till 2019.

His expertise lies in corporate law, M&A, and specialized knowledge in private equity and real estate transactions. He regularly advises a wide range of clients including industrial or strategic buyers, private equity funds, venture capitalists, corporate finance houses, financial institutions, and real estate investors. He is highly active in various sectors such as food and beverages, leisure, transport, finance, insurance, energy, and ICT.

Peter has been involved in numerous private equity and (L)MBO transactions for Benelux and international private equity funds (including acting for the sellers of the biggest Private Equity Deal in Belgian history), providing assistance throughout the entire process, including auction participation, due diligence, transactional work, credit documentation, and securities. He is frequently sought after by major international law firms to handle the Belgian aspects of their corporate and finance matters.

Peter is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Belgian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (BVA).
