Kathleen (Kate) Reilly is a partner in the firm’s Securities Enforcement & Litigation practice. Kate advises audit and accounting firms on professional malpractice and negligence claims in both private litigation and before regulatory entities, including in relation to hard-to-value assets, revenue recognition, auditor independence issues, quality control considerations, and misstatements. Kate also represents financial services institutions, special committees, public issuers, and private companies in securities enforcement, commercial litigation, whistleblower, white collar, and government investigation matters. Kate has significant experience handling actions in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings and arbitrations, and routinely conducts internal investigations and defends clients in enforcement matters by the SEC, DOJ, PCAOB, State Attorneys General, and CFTC.
An active member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, Kate routinely takes on pro bono matters involving criminal defendants. She also serves on the firm’s Management Committee as well as its National Hiring Committee.
