Karl is a partner in Wolf Theiss' market-leading real estate team. He is an award winning lawyer with vast experience in a wide range of real estate related matters across various asset classes. He took a leading role in some of Austria’s most prominent real estate and digital infrastructure transactions of the past years. Apart from transactional work, Karl has also a proven track record with complex project developments, in particular with respect to hyper-scale data centers, automotive production sites or pharmaceutical facilities. His core competence also includes demanding project finance mandates (with an emphasis on green energy), the ongoing advice of large-scale tenants and the restructuring of real estate portfolios. In addition, Karl co-heads the firm's private client practice and frequently advises on the acquisition of trophy real properties and on wealth management.
Karl holds a PhD and a LL.M. degree in European business law and has more than 20 years of professional experience. Prior to his career as attorney, he spent three years with a notary public and passed all professional exams with honours. He joined Wolf Theiss in early 2008. Karl is co-author of the standard commentary on Austrian land register law.
