Engaged in legal practice for over 20 years, he has represented more than 2,000 cases as a lawyer and heard nearly 200 cases as an arbitrator.
Wang Junqi is a Global Partner of DeHeng Law Offices and Head of the Supervisory Board of its Shanghai Office. He also serves as an arbitrator of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission and the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (SHIAC), a mediator of the Shanghai Oriental International Commercial Mediation Institute, and a council member of the Shanghai Bar Association.
In addition, Mr. Wang chairs the Regulation and Development Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association and serves as an expert consultant on civil and administrative cases for the Supreme People’s Procuratorate. He is also the chief legal coordinator for a global company headquartered in Germany and a postgraduate supervisor in law at Fudan University and East China University of Political Science and Law.
With more than 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Wang has represented clients in over 2,000 cases and has presided over nearly 200 arbitral proceedings. He has been recognized by Chambers Global, The Legal 500, ALB, and Legalband for his work in dispute resolution.
Represented an overseas fund portfolio in the first mainland China case heard by the Shanghai Financial Court examining the validity of a bond keepwell agreement.
Represented a listed company in the nation’s first securities group demonstration case applying a multi-factor quantitative model to accurately determine investor losses, heard by the Shanghai Financial Court.
Represented a listed company in handling a series of financing disputes with a total subject amount exceeding RMB 10 billion.
Represented a real estate company in resolving a housing sales contract dispute involving a subject amount of over RMB 700 million.
Represented a technology company in handling an equity transfer dispute with a subject amount exceeding RMB 280 million.
Represented an asset management institution in resolving an asset management contract dispute involving a subject amount of over RMB 500 million.
