Ms. Zhang primarily acts as lead counsel in cross-border banking and finance, advising policy banks, commercial banks, investment funds and state-owned enterprises in project and acquisition finance.

Another area of strength is global credit enforcement strategy, representing lenders as lead counsel in restructuring of loans with assets in several jurisdictions.

Zhang Xu has assisted international banks in market entry. She helped Banco de la Nación Argentina in opening a representative office in Beijing.

Publications

Zhang Xu co-authored a piece explaining the overhaul in regulations for cross-border financings in the December 2022 edition of Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law.
