Juan Francisco Simone

Juan Francisco concentrates his practice on legal support for financial and corporate transactions, financial regulation and insurance law.

In recent years, he has taken part in the most sophisticated financial transactions in Ecuador such as the first issue of green bonds in the local market and the first DPR securitization. He has also advised the most important stakeholders in the local FinTech and payments industry.

He regularly advises national and international banks and companies in the FinTech and Insurtech sector on regulatory matters such as obtaining authorizations and compliance with banking or insurance regulations.

Given his extensive knowledge on local financial regulation, Juan Francisco has been involved in drafting significant bills such as the FinTech Law and amendments to the Monetary and Financial Code to modernize the national financial system.

He has been recognized as an Associate to Watch by Chambers and Partners and a Rising Star by Legal 500 in Banking and Finance.
