Joseph Ostoyich is a senior partner of the firm, member of the firm’s Executive Committee and former Chair of the Washington, D.C. Litigation Department. He has nearly thirty years of experience representing some of the world’s leading companies in bet-the-company price fixing, monopolization and the full gamut of antitrust litigation. He also advises on non-merger criminal and civil investigations across diverse industries, and represents parties in merger reviews by the DOJ, FTC, European Commission and government authorities worldwide.
Having recently led the trial team against the FTC defending a leading distributor of dental equipment and supplies, Joe’s many victories include receiving a defense verdict as lead trial counsel in In re McWane, Inc., summary judgment in a case alleging a decade-long conspiracy to fix natural gas prices, defeating class certification in several cases, and dismissal of three lawsuits challenging the AT&T-Time Warner merger.
