Career
Jose Roberto Martins became Trench Rossi Watanabe's partner in 2001. He serves as the Administrative Board of the firm and is the chair of Energy, Mining and Infrastructure Projects practice.
Jose Roberto advises in M&A transactions, project development and project financing, assisting strategic investors, project developers, equipment and service providers, utilities and large power consumers and other players in the areas of renewable energy, gas, chemicals, mining, infrastructure, construction and financing. Also, since the 1990s, he has been leading major privatizations, post privatization and concessions in these areas.
His practice includes contractual law (specific contracts related to projects such as PPAs, EPCs, O&Ms), corporate law (shareholders' agreements, consortia, associations), administrative (public and private tenders), and contracts for the purchase and sale of companies and participations.
