Jonathan leads the firm’s commercial disputes team and advises on complex, high-value commercial disputes, with particular expertise in pensions litigation and matters involving international elements. Jonathan’s focus is on delivering clear strategic guidance and effective resolution, whether through litigation, arbitration, or early intervention.

He regularly acts for corporates, trustees, and professional services firms on technically challenging disputes, often involving overlapping regulatory, fiduciary, and contractual issues. Many of Jonathan’s cases involve cross-border components, and he is well-versed in managing jurisdictional questions and coordinating with overseas counsel.
Jonathan is particularly known for his work in pensions disputes and for supporting international clients or referrers needing English law advice. Jonathan brings a calm, pragmatic perspective and aims to provide advice that is not only legally robust but also commercially grounded and easy to act on.
Jonathan has attended the Cambridge Judge Business School's The Law Firm Partner as Leader; he is an accredited mediator and a commercial litigator for more than 20 years and previously led the firm’s Dispute Resolution Group.
