John has significant experience acting for claimants, defendants and insurers in Personal injury, Property damage and Insurance disputes.
Personal injury
The subject matter of claims includes accidents at work including building sites, factories, workshops, shops & offices; Occupational disease; Road traffic accidents involving heavy goods vehicles, cars and motorbikes; Employment & holiday accidents abroad whilst on-land and on-ship.
Instructions include injuries resulting in Brain injury, Cerebral palsy and Spinal injuries; FND, Chronic pain, Amputation and Complex injuries resulting in lifetime care & therapy, adaptive housing and ancillary services. John undertakes claims concerning Nervous shock and Fatal accidents.
Property damage & insurance
John receives instructions in Property damage claims and related Subrogated recovery actions following damage by escape of water, fire, explosion, flood, storm and theft. Underlying causes of action include breach of contract, negligence, nuisance and Rylands v Fletcher. John has a particular interest & experience in complex machinery and industrial fires and explosions.
John’s practice includes Insurance coverage and other technical issues related to Property damage and Personal injury claims. These include Subrogated recovery claims, RTA s.151, Article 75 and the MIB in relation to claims in the UK and in Europe, liability arising from the sale of goods, within the workplace and compulsory employment insurance and the Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act 2010.
John presents seminars on Property damage & Recovery, Consumer and Commercial insurance, and specialist subjects within the Personal injury context including Insurance law and Road traffic accidents in the UK and abroad.
