John Gilmour is co-chair of the firm’s Environmental Litigation section and a member of several of the firm's management committees. His practice encompasses significant environmental matters throughout the United States, from Puerto Rico to Guam, in both state and federal courts, including some of the largest contaminated sites in the country. John’s environmental focus predominantly has been contaminated soils, groundwater, and surface waterways, including river systems degraded from years of industrialization/urbanization, chemical and weapons manufacturing processes, and mining operations. John currently represents several states, territories, municipalities and water providers in litigation in multiple jurisdictions concerning PFAS contamination of drinking water and natural resources from industrial sites and Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) manufacturing, use, and disposal. Clients value John’s creative analysis, resolute advocacy, and dispute resolution strategies that consistently result in successful settlements and verdicts.
