He has participated in several international insolvency conferences and seminars, including events in Punta del Este, Buenos Aires, Rosario, Montepulciano, and Barcelona, addressing topics such as macroeconomic impacts on corporate crises, cross-border restructuring, Latin American insolvency developments, and the challenges and efficiencies of modern insolvency systems.
He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a concentration in Tax Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. He received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 1983 from the same university.
From 1985 to 1993, he served as a lecturer in Civil Procedural Law, Civil Law, General Corporations Law, and Constitutional Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Monterrey campus.
He is a member of the Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Concursal, an organization dedicated to promoting scientific research in bankruptcy law across legal, economic, and financial disciplines, with a particular focus on Latin America.
