Jane practices as a commercial barrister and arbitrator from 3 Verulam Buildings, one of the leading commercial chambers in London. Jane has specialised in international arbitration since 1998, focusing on disputes in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors. Jane works extensively internationally, in particular in the Middle East, Africa, the Russian Federation and CIS, Latin America and Asia Pacific. She is frequently instructed as lead counsel in disputes exceeding US$100m in value. Jane has substantial experience as counsel in arbitrations arising under EPC and FIDIC contracts; she also accepts appointments as an international arbitrator. Example recent instructions and appointments include a multi-billion dollar LCIA arbitration concerning an LNG facility in Iraq; various arbitrations concerning oil and gas facilities in the UAE, Kuwait, Vietnam and Kazakhstan; an ICC arbitration concerning an international airport in the Middle East; an ad hoc arbitration concerning a transit system in Israel; various disputes re: pulp mills in Latin America; ICC arbitrations concerning power station projects in Chile, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Uganda and Jordan; numerous arbitrations concerning public works contracts in Tanzania, Benin, Nigeria and Ghana; and a new build nuclear power plant dispute.
