Jakob Østervang is one of Denmark's most experienced lawyers in the area of renewable energy. He has vast experience in the areas of structuring, developing and financing of on-shore as well as off-shore wind turbine projects and other energy-related projects. He has advised investors, financial institutions and buyers in connection with transactions and projects in numerous countries all over the world.

Jakob is also highly experienced in commercial and transaction-based contracts, including the drafting and negotiation of project-related contracts in connection with off-shore wind projects and other infrastructure projects.

Jakob is recognised in Denmark and internationally as a skilled negotiator with deep commercial and professional insight as an adviser to Danish and non-Danish clients.

Jakob represents Bech-Bruun in the trade organisation Vindmølleindustrien and also works from Bech Bruun's New York office, where he contributes to the providing of international advisory services in the area of alternative energy.

Jakob has lectured on mergers and acquisitions as an external lecturer at Aarhus University and currently offers regular courses on the development of wind-related projects, mergers and acquisitions, etc.
