Ian is a former solicitor, with experience in commercial litigation, banking and finance, civil fraud, and international arbitration.
He has been described as “Always excellent”, “extremely bright” and “very hands-on and user-friendly”, a “[v]ery thoughtful lawyer whose drafting is first rate”, a “fantastically strong junior”, “a joy to work with” and having “excellent attention to detail”.
He has experience of multi-party / group litigation type claims, having been instructed as part of a team representing claimants in the RBS Rights Issue Litigation. Earlier in his career he was named one of the top 10 commercial litigation juniors under 8 years call three years in succession.
Before coming to the bar, he trained and practiced as a solicitor at White & Case LLP. Before that he held part time positions teaching law at UCL and SOAS.
