Hank Bond Walther

Career

Hank Walther has 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer in complex criminal and civil cases and counselor conducting high-stakes investigations for leading companies around the globe. Hank defends companies, boards of directors, corporate executives, and government officials facing criminal prosecution and civil liability, often from numerous government agencies and civil litigants. He also has led fraud and corruption investigations in more than 35 countries around the world.

Hank has conducted investigations for and defended industry-leading companies in the health care, technology, retail, extraction, engineering, and automotive industries. He also has successfully defended numerous senior corporate executives and government officials, recently obtaining a rare post-indictment dismissals of all charges against a corporate executive in an alleged $8 billion fraud scheme, and a second post-indictment dismissal in a high-profile foreign bribery prosecution.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Hank was a federal prosecutor in DOJ's Criminal Division, Fraud Section, where he served as a line prosecutor, a supervisor in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Unit, and Chief of the Health Care Fraud Unit.
