One of the most regular advocates appearing before the Supreme Court of Canada, Guy is the only one who pleads in both French and English and argues common law and civil law cases. He also regularly appears before the Federal Courts of Canada, and the Superior courts and Appeal courts of Ontario and Québec.

Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers. President, Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies. Director, The Advocates’ Society (2014-2021); President, The Advocates’ Society (2021). Former Chair and Director, Pro Bono Ontario (2016-2019). Guy has also taught at several universities, including University of Toronto (2012, 2014, 2017) and University of Ottawa (1990-1994).
