Career
Guilherme is head of the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration department, and, since he has experience both in Civil Litigation and Corporate Law, Guilherme links both departments by, besides giving support on the substantial issues, assessing the risks of judicialization and elaborating strategies to avoid them. Guilherme works also in the preliminary phases, assessing risks to enable adoption of better strategies for the solution of controversies.
Furthermore, he has worked in highly complex cases of judicial and arbitration litigation related to contracts, civil, corporate, bankruptcy, tort and succession law in several different segments, such as energy, clinical, telephony, civil construction, education, real estate, financial institutions, steelwork and mining.
The partner has title of Doctorate and Master of Laws in Corporate Law at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - UFMG. He is a visiting professor of Graduate courses at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, IBMEC and CEDIN Educacional. Currently, he is a collaborating professor in stand-alone legal courses and in-company courses.

Guilherme is the author of the book “Groups of Companies and the Extension of the Effects of Bankruptcy” and co-author of the book “First Lessons on the new Brazilian Civil Procedural Law” and author of several published articles in national legal journals.
