Career

Mário Tavernard is head of the Corporate and M&A department. He works in M&A structuring and negotiation, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, investment funds, estate and succession planning, private equity, venture capital and capital market. Furthermore, he represents several clients in corporate conflicts, working in both arbitration and litigation involving renowned corporate groups.

Moreover, the Head of Corporate and M&A has experience in assisting in contractual negotiation and corporate transactions in numerous different segments, such as: pharmaceutical, energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, laboratory analysis and medical-hospital care, information technology, real estate, supermarket and wholesale, education, sanitation, engineering and steelworks, including international operations.

The partner is a Master of Corporate Law by UFMG and has an MBA in Finances by IBMEC/MG. He is also author and co-author of many books and articles regarding Corporate Law.
