Co-chair of the Labor + Employment Practice Group, Gregg Gilman advises employers on all workplace-related matters and has earned a reputation as a leading adviser in employment crisis situations, including investigations, high-level sensitive terminations, harassment, raiding and lift-out of employees, and restrictive covenant matters. A substantial portion of his practice is devoted to minimizing liability, particularly with regard to wage and hour issues, reductions-in-force, joint employer issues, and protecting a company’s confidential information and other business interests. He is known for his creativity and skills in negotiating employment agreements and other arrangements to retain and incentivize key talent. This year Gregg deftly guided employers in navigating employment issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic and return to work.

Gregg mediates, arbitrates, and litigates employment and labor disputes for employers, including in court and before the EEOC, NLRB, and state and local employment-rights agencies. He has negotiated collective bargaining agreements in the music, hospitality, book store and numerous other industries. Clients seek his expertise in negotiating labor issues in connection with M&A deals. He is the creator of Respect in the Workplace, a cutting-edge, interactive training seminar on preventive management, including sexual harassment and workplace sensitivity.
