Gerald Uram is the founding partner in Davis & Gilbert’s Real Estate Practice Group, and was formerly chair of the group for almost 40 years after formally establishing the group in 1974. He concentrates on commercial leasing and serves as counsel to many building owners. He has handled some of New York’s largest leasing transactions, including representing SJP Properties in its lease with Proskauer Rose LLP, MLB in its Fan Cave venue lease, and headquarters leases for a number of major companies, including the NFL, Commerzbank, MasterCard International, Deutsche Bank, Boston Consulting Group, Saatchi & Saatchi, MONY, The Segal Company, Meredith Corporation, Raymond James, J. Crew and the Associated Press. Mr. Uram also represents a number of other New York City landlords, including the Oxford Properties Group, American Realty Advisors, Related Properties, TF Cornerstone Inc., 140 BW LLC, Westbrook Partners, Savanna Real Estate Fund and Kato International. Mr. Uram has acted as an expert witness in several cases involving litigation with landlords. He has lectured on commercial leasing at the New York State Bar Association, the Practising Law Institute, the City Bar Center and New York Law School.
