Practice focuses on broadcast and telecom regulation and Copyright Board work. Broad understanding of the communications industry, related corporate documentation and the framework for broadcast and telecom regulation and financing.

Ontario Bar, 1980. Six years with The Bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto followed by two years practising communications law with Johnston & Buchan LLP in Ottawa. Ten years in-house with Allarcom Limited and WIC Western Communications Ltd. in Edmonton and Ottawa and two years with CanWest Global in Ottawa before joining McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Toronto in 2000.

Also a major contributor to The World Bank’s infoDev program’s ‘Telecommunications Regulation Handbook’.

Fluent in English and French with a working knowledge of Spanish.
