Gordon Cartwright

Joint head of the Personal Injury department at JMW and a Special Ambassador for the Child Brain Injury Trust. Gordon has expertise in brain, spinal cord and amputation injuries, with a particular interest in paediatric brain injury claims. Gordon regularly secures seven figure settlements on behalf of his clients and has over 20 years’ experience of catastrophic injury litigation. Recent cases include settlements of £5m and £3.5m for children who suffered brain injuries as a result of road traffic accidents and over £7m for an adult who suffered a spinal cord injury. A dedicated, passionate advocate for his clients and their families, Gordon is fully engaged with ensuring that injury victims of catastrophic accidents get the best possible rehabilitation as soon as possible after an accident and receive a quality standard of care for the remainder of their lives. He has links with several charitable organisations that focus on helping victims of catastrophic injuries.

Joined JMW in 2001. Qualified in 2003. Became a partner in 2009.

Born in 1979. Studied Law at MMU. Gordon is a proud Dad of two and loves spending his free time with his family, walking his dogs and watching Man Utd.
