Sally is a longstanding partner in the clinical negligence department with almost 30 years' experience. She undertakes high value clinical negligence work and has expertise in unusual and complex cases, especially birth and neonatal injury cases and serious spinal injury cases, especially those involving Cauda Equina Syndrome. Has secured numerous multimillion pound settlements. Recent cases include the cerebral palsy cases involving severe brain damage of XvY hospital trust which settled for £15 million in 2021, L v L, which settled for £24 million in 2020 and J v Y which settled for £25 million in 2019. Represents numerous clients with misdiagnosed cauda equina syndrome, her last 2 settlements being £1.2 million in 2022 and £1.7million in 2023.

Sally also has specialist expertise in orthopaedic cases and in 2019 obtained £2.25 million for a man who suffered appalling injuries due to misdiagnosis of a slipped upper femoral epiphysis.

Career

Qualified in 1995. Joined JMW in 1996 becoming a partner in 2001.
