Gerardo is a partner in the Mexico City office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and private equity, as well as corporate and commercial matters.
Mr. Zimbrón has actively represented different domestic and international companies in connection with complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, divestitures, minority investments, asset sales and cross-border transactions. He has participated in several transactions in a wide variety of sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, technology, retail, transportation, pharmaceuticals and insurance.
Recently, he has advised Citi on the separation of its corporate, private, and institutional banking business in Mexico from its consumer and business banking operations; UPS on the acquisition of Estafeta; and Vinci Partners on the cross-border merger with MNC Holdings Limited.
In 2015 and 2016, Mr. Zimbrón worked as an international associate at the New York office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.
Mr. Zimbrón was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He obtained his law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City in 2010 and a LL.M. from the University of Virginia in 2015. His native language is Spanish, and he is fluent in English.
