Career
Luis Gerardo is a partner in the Mexico City office of Creel and a member of the Firm's Board of Directors. His practice focuses on competition and antitrust law and actively participates in all types of cases before the competition authorities, from complex pre-merger proceedings to investigations, administrative proceedings, constitutional proceedings and leniency applications. He regularly advises multinationals and private equity investors on acquisitions and investments in Mexico in multiple industries, including digital platforms. He has participated in some of the most relevant and sophisticated cases before the competition authorities. He recently advised AT&T in the acquisitions of DirecTV, Nextel Mexico and Time Warner, Delta Airlines in its agreement of joint cooperation and investment with Grupo Aeroméxico, and Nokia in the acquisition of an exclusive control of Alcatel-Lucent, among others. He is a frequent speaker at national and international events on antitrust issues.
