Career
Farrah is a managing associate in Ogier's Dispute Resolution team, based in the Cayman Islands. She specialises in commercial litigation and corporate insolvency, of which she has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and insurance disputes.
Farrah regularly provides advice to, and acts for, shareholders in fair value proceedings arising under section 238 of the Cayman Islands Companies Act.
Farrah moved to the Cayman Islands in 2016 and joined Ogier in 2021. An experienced advocate who regularly attends court for contested interim applications, other interlocutory hearings and trials, Farrah regularly works on commercial litigation matters, including those with cross-border issues and involving insolvency proceedings, including but not limited to:
- insurance disputes
- claims against directors / trustees
- shareholder/beneficial ownership disputes
- breach of duty (contract, tortious and fiduciary)
- asset tracing and commercial fraud
- enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, and interim relief (including third-party disclosure and injunctions)
- appraisal / fair value proceedings
Prior to moving to the Cayman Islands, Farrah worked as a barrister at a leading defendant insurance firm in the UK where she worked on a range of matters for various insurers and brokers, including:

- Aviva
- QBE Insurance
- Chubb
- Marsh
- Aon
- The National Health Service
and private medical institutions within the Bupa Insurance network.
Since moving to the Cayman Islands, she has furthered her insurance practice, acting for both onshore and offshore insurers.
Farrah has experience defending claims bought under the terms of a variety of insurance policies, including motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, public and employer's liability (accidents at work / public places), professional indemnity (including accountants, auditors, architects), product liability, directors' and officers' liability (D&O liability), after the event (ATE), Aviation and Marine risk, the provision of professional services, D&O policies, and aircraft confiscation.
