Co-Leader of McCarthy Tétrault’s Global Metals & Mining Group. Named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada, Eva is deeply connected to the mining industry and is a strategic and entrepreneurial transactional lawyer.

With more than 20 years of experience leading hundreds of M&A and corporate finance transactions, Eva has extensive expertise in cross-border M&A and addressing the unique issues presented by multi-jurisdictional transactions. Eva offers pragmatic advice on and develops deal strategy for acquirors, target companies and special committees, assisting clients in executing a variety of transactions including arrangements, RTOs, going-private transactions, take-over bids and other business combinations. In her corporate finance practice, she advices issuers and investment banks on public equity offerings, convertible debt transactions and IPOs and navigates issuers through proxy contests and advises with respect to activist shareholder actions. Eva is also a lead advisor to a number of international clients seeking to undertake strategic investments in TSX-listed issuers.

Eva’s experience extends to the boardroom where she is also a director and chair of the Corporate Governance Committee of i-80 Gold Corp, a TSX and NYSE listed issuer.

Eva is repeatedly recognized including by Lexpert (Mining, Finance & M&A), and Legal 500 among others.
