A diversified and determined advocate, Erin Kilgore represents the interests and rights of local, national, and international employers to maximize and leverage their human capital at every stage of the employment relationship. Erin often serves as an extension of their legal and management teams. She counsels clients on compliance with labor and employment laws and developments, and she delivers practical and business-focused solutions and legal counsel aimed at minimizing disputes and litigation. Should a claim arise, Erin is an effective, smart, and aggressive advocate and a formidable litigator and trial and appellate counselor.
Erin represents and advises employers on the full spectrum of employment-related claims. Her experience includes discrimination, harassment, and retaliation litigation; wage and hour litigation, including collective actions and class actions; administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and their state counterparts.
Erin also provides day-to-day advice on the development and administration of policies and practices, including policies and programs related to drug and alcohol testing, and compliance with applicable laws, including the ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, NLRA, Title VII, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, and state employment laws. She advises clients on labor relations issues, including collective bargaining agreements with unions and responding to unfair labor practice charges.
Valued for her ability to collaborate, Erin’s focus remains client centered. She is personally dedicated to understanding each client’s culture and long- and short-term strategic goals while helping them to identify and manage the issues and risks of their business and industry sector.
In addition to litigating claims and defending administrative charges, Erin conducts customized training programs to educate business leaders, human resources professionals, supervisors, and employees on a host of employment law issues. As employment laws evolve, Erin keeps her clients informed of changes in the law with recommended compliance and litigation avoidance strategies. She is an esteemed speaker and author on a wide variety of employment law and litigation disciplines.
Prior to joining the firm, Erin served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Jay C. Zainey of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
