Elise (Paeffgen) Bowen

Elise’s environmental practice is centered on waste, ESG and climate, pesticides, and financial assurance, and she works extensively with health care and FDA-regulated industries across the supply chain. Clients depend on Elise to navigate EPA and DEA regulations and to guide them through environmental enforcement actions. Elise has significant experience in cross-cutting issues in health care, such as antimicrobials, forward and reverse distribution, and medical, pharmaceutical, and controlled substance waste.

On ESG, climate, and environmental compliance and enforcement matters, Elise represents domestic and international companies in the health care, pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetic, food and beverage, consumer product, pesticide, automotive, shipping and logistics, and oil and gas industries. She provides strategic financial assurance advice for sites and storage tanks across the U.S. Elise frequently counsels clients on product development and marketing, including environmental attributes and claims, and ESG and climate disclosure strategies. Drawing on years of EPR counseling, Elise also helps companies navigate new packaging EPR requirements.
